Hi all is there anyone in the Falmouth area could help with a breakdown? Failed ignition I believe.

Graham Wilson at Callington is the nearest specialist, still about 60 miles from Falmouth, though...

Thanks Ken I'll pass the number on.
Thanks Roger, its a pal of mine I sold the car to a few years ago, seems the 123 has died. He has a points ignition set at home near Plymouth and has now got a lift back there to get the bits so he can fix tomorrow. He has not done ignition swap before but is reasonably mechanical soo should manage.

You may like to suggest he check the voltage output by the alternator, as a high voltage can damage electronics. If it is high, check all the connections including ground, before buying a replacement. :D

Don't forget the box spanner to get the fan blades off with - is it 14MM (someone please check). I always carry that one with me.

Thanks all, he's still stuck in Falmouth (kipping @ a mates I believe) and now seems to have killed the nice new dry coil...

Where is he based when not stranded?
