 Breakdown Hi all is there anyone in the Falmouth area could help with a breakdown? Failed ignition I believe.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, it's probably electrical (or, an electric fuel pump!) ....

Thanks Roger, its a pal of mine I sold the car to a few years ago, seems the 123 has died. He has a points ignition set at home near Plymouth and has now got a lift back there to get the bits so he can fix tomorrow. He has not done ignition swap before but is reasonably mechanical soo should manage.

Re: Breakdown You may like to suggest he check the voltage output by the alternator, as a high voltage can damage electronics. If it is high, check all the connections including ground, before buying a replacement.

Re: Breakdown Don't forget the box spanner to get the fan blades off with - is it 14MM (someone please check). I always carry that one with me.
