Post tyres
For years I've been using the Michelin tyres but now they are so expensive that I'm thinking of: 125 SR 15 Firestone F560
Can I have some feedback from users of these tyres or others not too expensive?
Thank you.

Cheap but not very good in road holding. My brother had them too on his 2cv.
Overhere they say Toyo is rather good.
I still drive on Michelins since 35 years and i never bought a new set... All used ones in good condtion. Lots came from germany for great prices like 80 euros for 4 with 6mm profiles.

The Firestone's are the worst tyres there is for 2cv's..

Michelins used to perish before they wore out, not so much lately. They just wear out.
Firestone almost as bad as Kleber, but Toyo are good, 135's only I think, but an attractive price at £59 each -

Don't know about Portugal though.

Derek, I've got Toyo 135 (they are available in my country at very nice prices - €50 the last ones I bought).
But they are not as soft and easy-rolling as the Michelins 125, which I have to substitute very soon.
Indeed they are so good at grabbing the road that they make the 2cv roll not so easily - I use them for rain and some off-road situations.

Eirik J, could you point out the worst features of the Firestones 125? Thanks.

I think they are rather hard.

That's what I fear(ed)...
With Toyo 135 I also feel the softness Michelin provides is not present...

Yes, I can. They are very small. 125R15 Firestone's are tiiiiny. And Ken on this forum had a picture of different tires that was cut...um missing the English words here.... but cut so one could see the thickness of the sidewalls. The Firestone's appeared to be the thickest, and would probably explain why they feel "hard".
I feel there are better options out there in the economy range, as others have pointed out.
