Something else to consider, is whether the tyre has warmed up when you test it. I was looking on the internet for tyre pressures for my motorbike as it had non standard tyres fitted. I stumbled across a forum where two chaps were discussing the subject and one was saying the correct pressure was when the increase of warm versus cold was a specific %. On another site regarding caravans, the advice was the difference between warm versus cold should be 6 psi. vitor Could be why there are different pressures on front and back. Guessing the front tyres work harder and get hotter which increases the tyre pressure and also compensates for the engine weight. |

Even considering the warming of the front tyres due to rolling, traction and steering I guess the 20 front pressure won't ever reach 30psi. There must be some reason. I don't think Citroen engineers were incompetent... |

Vitor, it seems to me that you haven't taken into account the diagonal transfer of weight which takes place during cornering. Depending how 'enthusiastic' that manouevre is, the amount of load transferred can be as much as 100%, which means that the most heavily laden tyre on the car will be the one on the front axle, at the outside of the curve... vitor wrote: Even considering the warming of the front tyres due to rolling, traction and steering I guess the 20 front pressure won't ever reach 30psi.
