How do they feel on the road, is there much difference? Noise? Speed? Handling?

No, i have Michelin 135-15 M&S. Runs very well and they are marvellous in the snow. I don't know if they are still in production. I think you have to look for tyres for the Smart they have the same size.

I just bought Minerva S310 tyres, 145 65 15 m+s. They cost euro 30,- a piece including free delivery.. Just a little bit lower then the 125x15.

Feels good dry and wet.. No snow yet..

Yes but you can adjust that. Friends on your suspension height.

I bought a pair of rims with S&M tyres on, I should try them. Would the tread type be ok for MOT?
