Yes, if it's only the rings which have been replaced.
That process of repeatedly accelerating (and decelerating) ensures that the rings are pressed tightly against the cylinder walls.
Driving with a light throttle runs the risk of glazing.

Ken, I'm not sure I understood the instructions...
Should I need just 160 kms to do the running-in?

Thanks, Ken.
So will it be safe (for the engine, not for me :) ) to drive at 120Km/h?

Believe it or not, without front wind, on a slight descending road, it drives at that speed, on GPS. On the car I can read 125.
Of course this won't happen for a long time, or else the car would disintegrate... :D but before that happened, I would die of fear :)

(PS: it is a 652 engine, running on LPG)

I saw 75mph on my Ami 8 on the M6, just before the front offside tyre blew. They will do it with a little help from gradient. Lumps of rubber flying skyward, a rumbling from the front, and complete steering control. Onto the hard shoulder and change wheel. It was a Michelin, but how old I know not.

Don't get me wrong - 120 km/h is never my everyday speed.
Indeed the comfortable and safe speed for a 2cv, in my opinion, is 80km/h.
The noise is not too much (you might even listen to the radio :D ) and you feel the engine is not making a supreme effort...

107 mph with my Dyane...

...by "little tuned" Visa engine with longest GS gearbox... Yes, it was very fun...

A great 2019 for all!
1100 kms after changing the piston rings in my 652 engine, a strange metallic noise has been appearing every morning as I start the engine.
It is there for less than 1 km and disappears during the whole day. It only comes back the following morning when the engine is started again.
The noise is similar to the one valves make when not adjusted but the mechanic, who I trust, says if it were the valves the noise would only appear when the engine is hot (and not when it is cold, like I descbried).
Also no problem with the engine - it works perfectly, the car goes up the mountains better than before, no problem at all.
Any hint?
Thanks

Could be piston slap
The piston is cold and has more space inside the bore. As the engine warms up, the piston expands and the gap disappears. Not really anything to worry about. :)

Although this is not a 2cv this is more or less the noise I can hear:
