Quick Release door hinge pins are not a new idea.

My doors have modified hinge pins, however if you leave the car standing for a long period of time, they tend to rust and become much harder to pull out.

So I made some from Stainless Steel rod, now only the hinge part rusts!

Is stainless softer than the original pin?

My left door has this as it was easier to get in and out the car when we had the Big Yellow Playbus!
