Depends whether or not you trust Citroen's workshop manuals?

From Manual 008121...
Max. torque. M28/1 = 4.1 m.kg SAE from 3,500rpm to 4,500rpm
M28 = 4.7 m.kg. at 4,750rpm

Looks as though Geo's rear end has been confirmed as a dependable source... :)
