Advice needed regarding vent pipes to windscreen and heater tubes. In 25 years of 2CV ownership I have never had a 2CV with no vent pipes fitted. I have now acquired such a vehicle where the vent pipes are just left loose in the car. There is no means of attaching both pipes to the bulkhead and it would appear the connectors are missing. I have no idea what the connectors look like and also would anyone have a pair I could buy or alternatively who would stock them. The heater tubes, also not fitted - there are two short rubber sleeves or connectors on the bulkhead, which I have never seen before on a 2CV. I assume heater tubes are forced into these sleeves? 2CV is a 1990 Special. |

Hope this photo helps showing the two rubber sleeves on bulkhead of engine bay. Cabin bulkhead just shows two holes where connectors for vent demisters should be ....... |

Someone has thought the demisting qualities needed improving! The right hand (as seen from the driving position) cylinder usually vents to the under parcel shelf vent, and the left hand to the junction with screen/floor selector flap (lhd cars). The connections are cardboard tubes. Yours has two junction boxes. Not a bad idea.  A 1967 car (lhd) |

The demisters are stuck in from the inside and than screwed to the bar under the windscreen with 2 parkers. |

If you crop an image, that will most likely reduce the size of the file and enable you to post on site. I think you have the standard setup for late 2CVs. Pipes from heat exchangers go to the lower middle bit. Pipes then go from there to the demisters. There is a push-pull knob under the dash to direct heat to screen or footwell. Heater tubes are available from ECAS. They are foam lined and considerable reduce engine noise entering the car. |
