While your checking the electrics, you'd better do something about that 25 amp fuse too. Is it in a circuit that should have a 10amp or a 16amp? Either way, fitting a fuse that has a higher amp rating than the circuit it's protecting is a potential fire hazard.
Also, what's going on with the heater hoses?: they look as is they're crossing over each other!

Edit: I've just looked it up:
That yellow circuit fuse should be 10amp,
(blue 16amp, red 10amp).

Hi Chris, no it came from up near Bristol way however I think it may have cam from there before previous owner looking at the history

Are you sure the brushes on that alternator should be fed by the remote regulator I think on that particular alternator it should be fed by a live wire through a bulb and then connected to the brush pack... I would pull the existing brush pack wire off put the bulb feed in and try that

Looks like he sold it before you got hold of it, then.

If it's the same chap, I bought my good 2cv from him in 2011, he was a bit of an enthusiast to say the least but honest. Surname T******n. I can't imagine that alternator bodge is his work!
