Post Ami6 turn signal switch
I'm having problems with my ami6 turn signal switch in combination with the 2cv wire harness. The direction lights flashes highly irregular. I didn't inspect the switch closely, is it possible there is a reley in the switch? So I now have two in operation? I don't have schematics at hand...

I might have said that a bit complicated. What I need is to know what those 4 connections on the signal switch is, on a - 68 Ami break. If anyone should happen to know or have the schematics :)

98 euros! Wish I could sell my AMI parts for those money.

Anyway, yes I know. I see the colors, but I don't know what they "do".
I have only three wires and it doesn't work properly. I don't know if it's because it's not connected right, or it's faulty. And I don't have a diagram for the wires for the switch.

Does your switch - and - flasher relay have three wires only?
If so, it may be like the Ami6 as above -
Blue. Violet, and White (Blanc)

Violet takes +ive from the Voltage control regulator
Blue goes to flashers on one side
White (Blanc) to flashers other side.

It's a difficult schematic to follow, and colour changes from the switch to the bulbs from Blanc (Bc) to Blue (Bl) a misprint? It's vague.

(From a French handbook on the Ami6 circa 1960)

If your switch has four terminals
The Noir (black) goes to a warning light if fitted, and onto the Earth on the flasher relay
Vert (green) to flashers one side
Yellow (Jaune) to flashers the other side
Rouge (red) to flasher relay.

(That's how the Peter Russek 'Glove Box' series has it, circa 1970).

Hope this helps and does not lead to more confusion! (Though it probably will!)

Hey Derek, thanks a lot! You're right, those types of schematics aren't easy to follow. But you're explanation was great and all I needed to know :)

I have the one with four connectors. So I corrected on thing on the wires, but the lights flashed irregular, and sometimes the integrated relay would stop clicking.
I took the switch out of the car and carefully cleaned it with electro-cleaner and pressured air. The handel mechanism now worked like new, a big improvement. But still no luck with the integrated relay. Carefully "sanded" a contact breaker on top of the relay, and then it didn't work at all. F*** me, 98 euros, was it?!
Bent the arm for the contact breaker and joy, it was working again, and like it should! Regular, even flashes and no hick ups. Work well done. The car is now closer for a MOT after the rebuild.
