Post Tracking - amateur fail!
I had a go at re-setting the tracking on my AZU (it has a 602 disc set up), because the inside edges of the front tyres were badly worn. I imagine that was because the toe-out was excessive. In fact the CT had said that it was OK for the maximum suggested by Citroen - I thought I'd try the minimum, ie parallel.

I used the accepted method without the special tools: string and bungee cords - and succeeded in giving it totally excessive toe-in, with really scary steering characteristics when I took it for a test drive.

It's evident I don't know how to use the string and bungees properly. Is there a better picture than this one?

Presumably the string has to NOT touch either front tyre at both the front and rear of the front wheel (or at least not touch it at the rear of the front tyre). With hindsight it's obvious that what I did wasn't giving me a parallel datum line to measure from.

Advice would really be helpful, thanks.
