After a run of about 10 miles or so, sometimes the engine will run- on after the ign is switched off. Is this an indication of poor ignition timing? When I replaced the condenser and points, I timed as per the book, using 6mm rod in the flywheel, putting a mark on the flywheel/crankcase etc.

Hi Bob

First guess would be a hot spark plug. Look for deposits on the plugs. If they are suspect, there is usually a page in Haynes of the different issues with plugs.

Mine does sometimes, as above- check plugs. If I let it idle for ten seconds it doesn't happen.

I cure this one by fitting the B7HS plugs.
