Post Fitting Charleston Decals
Hi, just wondering if anyone has fitted decals to a Charleston, and if so how did they do it? The decals I have are adhesive and I can imagine that once I have separated them from their backing they will be almost impossible to fit correctly. I'm sure this must be one of those jobs where there's a 'trick' to doing it. I just wonder what it is. Thanks for any help, Dave

This is how I would do it. Leave the backing on and use little strips of masking tape to hold it in position. Starting at one end lift up a short section, unpeel backing and fold back. Wet the car in the area then gently press on the decal. It should be slightly moveable on the water. When happy use a squeegee to press out the water. Then move to the next section. Be patient. Good luck.

Find a local company that deals with applying graphics and speak to one of the guys to see if he'd do it for cash.

My better half (a professional window dresser) uses a water/white spirit mix instead of pure water.

Hope this helps,

Thanks everyone for the replies. Decals now fitted. ~Used water with just a tiny touch of washing up liquid and it worked great. Much easier than I'd imagined.
