   |   Van seat beltsI have a re-chassied 1962 AZU van. The seatbelt mounting holes are in the new floor and on the new side rails, but there are no brackets for mountings behind the seat/ side shelves. Does anyone make these brackets / have drawings for them?BobH

   |   Re: Van seat beltsThey are pyramid shaped brackets welded on the top of the innerwings. They were in the aks400 and the ak250 from the ,70s.

   |   Re: Van seat belts These show the after-market seat belt mounts on my AZU, probably manufactured for, and installed by, the French Post office who were the original owner. They aren't welded on, as you can see. Try to ignore the dust, dents, rust etc. It's living in a very dusty barn at the moment. But One Day I'll clean it all up....._________________

   |   Re: Van seat beltsWhat re the "letter box slots" in the bulkhead behind the seats. Are they just deep enough for the vehicle docs etc.

   |   Re: Van seat beltsThey wouldn't hold much more than a single sheet of paper. The opening is about 15cm wide by 6cm high (it's dark in the barn and difficult to measure), so perhaps for a carte grise. But the orientation is wrong: a (modern) CG is portrait format and this is landscape.
There's only one, at the top of the bulkhead behind the driver's seat.

   |   Re: Van seat beltsFiat Lux ... et lux erat: The two screws keep the papers in. I imagine there was a transparent plastic pane at the front. _________________
