 Tie rods
Any tips please on how to tighten nyloc nuts at steering rack end. The tapered components (can't remember what they are called, senior moment!) keep turning.

 Re: Tie rods
Easy... Use a plain nut to pull the taper into firm contact, then replace with a nyloc. Steve H wrote: Any tips please on how to tighten nyloc nuts at steering rack end. The tapered components (can't remember what they are called, senior moment!) keep turning.

 Re: Tie rods
Use something handy, like a crowbar or tire iron, to push the steering rod end firmly towards the tapered components, while you tighten the nut. The friction between the cones when pushed together should be enough to stop it rotating.
