 Warning lights Why did Citroen mount the warning lights below the steering column? I think the ones in the 2CV are roughly 8mm. Like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/262783020988 I noticed there was room for 2 more bulbs above the charging and brake fluid test lamp. I bought some of these indicators and plan on relocating the main beam, turn signal and emergency light to this location so I can actually see it without taking my eyes off the road. So they will be: Blue : Main beam Red: charging indicator Green: turn signal Orange: emergency flasher The brake fluid test light bulb stopped working for some reason so I'm not too concerned about. I got to wondering if the reason I can't remove the speedometer cover surround is I need to disconnect the speedometer cable from the gearbox first then the thing should slide right out. Hopefully.

Re: Warning lights Consider leaving the main beam indicator where it is, as it will be an annoyance if it is to high up.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, it's probably electrical (or, an electric fuel pump!) ....

Is that not an MOT requirement? Quote: 2.11 Brakes

The dashboard warning lights will also be checked for the ABS, ESC, electronic park brake and brake fluid warning lights.

Re: Warning lights On US spec cars anyway, as far as I can remember, the parking brake and low brake fluid switch share a single light "BRAKE" which lights up for a few seconds then goes off after you start the car.
The 2CV is the first car I've ever seen where there is a test button to see if the bulb is not burned out. Wouldn't it make more sense for the test light button to test all the warning lights, not just the low brake fluid light?
By the way, just because the bulb is good, doesn't mean the low level switch in the reservoir cap is working. So what's the point?
Mine stopped working for some reason. I swapped bulbs but it still doesn't light up. I don't know if it's the switch or what.
As far as the warning lights goes, I think I'm just going to relocate the original lights. Those super bright warning lights might get on my nerves after awhile.
