I'm look it up on the forum specialist. I had the same problem as did my brother in law. I said try this, he did and said 'oh, you've fix it'. I don't think he mentioned Rorty though.

I had no idea they were so simple. Although that gadget that might have been my problem is weird. I do vaguely understand it though.

Roger V you have my man-love for now, that should be plenty :)

Honestly though, what would I do without this forum. I'd be a bit lost really..

My drive home form work at 1800 should confirm its back to its usual rorty self again... If not I'm withdrawing all compliments :)

It ran great on the way home. Back to normal again.

Did do clouds of smoke on start up. But no smoke that I could see while driving. I pulled the choke out too much I think but only to keep it running.

I did fanny around with the idle mixture screw so I probably need to un-fanny that now.

Great to have it back to normal. Have to love how reliable it's still been despite ailing, though. Working three jobs, two of them new & the Deuche has been fantastic & saved me loads of money with its economy.
