Hey all. First time greasing of these king pins as they were only fitted last year and I've done about 2.5k miles. MOT tomorrow and I've been meaning to do them for ages anyway.

One side went normally, not much grease squished out of the upper swivel bit, but enough to know it had worked. The other side, no grease came out of the upper swivel bit. It squished out of the bottom only. I tried it with the wheel unloaded, and with very slight load just in case that made a difference. Tried for a while but nothing from the top.

My old ones, it was really easy to get the grease squishing out of every bit.

My question is, is that just because they are new and not worn? Drove beautifully after - does anyway but I could feel a difference.

Anybody have experience for me on this?

Last time I had my king pins done on this car was around 15 years ago and I don't remember. Bit worried it means the plug on the bottom isn't grease proof.

My 2 Grease nipples...
Try rotating as you grease, also is "clean" grease coming out at the bottom?

Ah rotating makes sense. I've done that before actually, I'll give it a go. Yeah clean grease at the bottom.
