Post RAL equivalent colour for "Gris Roues" AC140 ?
Does anyone know the closest RAL number to AC140 paint colour (Gris Roues)?
Thanks
(I'm sure this has been mentioned before but I can't find it).

A Google search has brought up the following suggestions (and comments).
RAL 7032 (too dark?),
RAL 7034 (too dark?),
RAL 7035 (too light?),
RAL 7044 (too dark?),
RAL 7047 (too light?)
RAL 9002 (too light?),
RAL 9006 (too dark?),
RAL 9018 (too light?).
I've also found colour charts on t'internet, like this one: http://www.rodleyinteriors.co.uk/help-and-free-guides/ral-colour-matching-chart/ but the trouble is, you can't rely on the accuracy of images to give the exact colour.
Anyone know which is the closest?

Thanks Chris but I'm getting something made in plastic that I want to colour-match (as close as possible ) and the plastic supplier uses RAL numbers.

Thanks Chris. That looks better than the one I've been looking at, (but same problem: how accurate will the colours be on my screen?)

Gris Rose is actually quite a complex colour as it's classed as a grey but is actually very light and quite 'warm', the warmth in it comes from quite a bit of a reddish beige colour.

Very hard to see on screens, can you not get access to one of those books? At a suppliers maybe.

Edit: sorry I'm getting confused, Gris Rose is AC136 and is the 'warm' one, AC140 is just a normal very light grey often found on wheels.

This is probably the closest:

RAL 7035 Light grey

The Citroen car club say RAL 7044 is a very close match, you need to see them side by side in real life. Source: http://www.citroencarclub.org.uk/drupal/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=60968&sid=552acd42ef7de333a1c759c4a6a125e7
