Post M7 bolts everywhere!
This 2CV is full of M7X1.0 bolts!!

Most of the cars I've dealt, I could get buy with 8, 10, 13, 17, 19 mm spanners and sockets for 90% of the fasteners on the car.

My 11 mm spanners and sockets are the least used tools in my toolbox!

Although the United States uses the metric system quite a bit, Imperial is used more often especially when it comes to stuff like fasteners. And we are the last country to still use Fahrenheit to measure air temperature.

A good example is hardware stores sells imperial fasteners by the pound. But for some reason metric bolts are sold individually at about 10 times the price!

I needed some M7 bolts the other day for the muffler hangers that bolt to the gearbox and this one local autopart store only sold one length! Luckily it was the correct length but they did not have any long enough for the exhaust clamps.

I found a website here in the US where I can buy various lengths of M7X1.0 bolts at a fair price.

Just curious, as anyone every guessed what might be the most common length of M7 bolts used on this car?

I was going to order a bunch of M7 nuts and bolts from this place.
