Have an axle tube that was labeled Mehari? Seems the angle of the pinion is different to a standard rack? Any ideas? |

From an AMI?? The rack has large teeth and the pinion (similar to a 2cv) but has 7 teeth. |

The AMI6 has a very steep steering column, so the steering wheel is positioned pretty flat, like an old bus. So does the Mehari, judging by the position of the steering wheel. Don't know if the Mehari has a joint in the column? If not, it's not the same as a 2CV. (If by "standard rack" you mean a 2CV one) |
