Post subject:  Oil change problem?

Hi all.
I am after some reassurance.
Today I changed the oil/filter on my 1986 2cv.
The filter took some effort, with a strap, but finally spun off. I then noticed that the threaded tube onto which the filter spins was protruding 2-3cm further out than it should and was in the process of unwinding away from the crankcase.
I wound the tube back into the housing until it was tight.
Filled with new oil I started the engine and the oil light went out as it should.
Now, because I don't know what's inside the casing behind this tube, I'm hoping that this occurrence will not have caused anything untoward.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Its just a threaded tube.
Screw it back in again it will be ok.
