Post wpier blades
As most know the old 2cvs had rigid thin wiper blades. Who are much more elegant than the modern versions with joints. The problem with the old system wipers they are often difficult to get and expensive. I discovered that the blades of the land rover series 2 and 3 are of the exact same length. So ordered a few cheap ones in the UK. The rivet of the broken 2cv wiper and the new british wiper drilled out. Reinforcement plate transfered and put a brass screw in it and just a tap it with a hammer to secure it. And ready is the new Wiper Blade. Only little problem the very cheap versions are only available in black. An original rivet would be even nicer.

Last month I helped to find a good home for our friend's 1951 80" Series One, but be warned, the parts for Series One Landrovers are dear nowadays.
We have a Defender 110 HT with pop up roof

Our 2CV is still at the local 2CV specialist as it is getting a new galvanized chassis, new floors, new lower windscreen frame, ...

Bye, Thorsten

The last time I asked my local factors for 10 inch wipers they asked if they were for the headlights.

small correction, don't press the reinforcment plate on to hard this will deform the rubber a little but just engough to only wipe in the middle of the blade and not at the edges...
