 Gearbox\clutch fork type
Think the clutch fork has cracked and bent ,either that or the clutch pressure plate fingers have bent Won't know for sure until after the engine drip covers are off and its jacked up The clutch biting point dropped in the space of 1 day and again after unadjusted the lock nuts on the cable
I had a quick look online, the car is a 76 Ami 8 ,is the clutch fork the same as a later 2cv one does anyone know? Thanks Matt

 Re: Gearbox\clutch fork type
All the same from 1970 onwards. http://www.ecas2cvparts.co.uk/clutch-op ... -p-84.htmlMight be worth checking that the 4 nuts securing the engine and gearbox are present and are tight; it's not unknown for the lower ones to work loose, which would have an effect on things...
