Of all the wires - only one is actually demisting. What's the cause and how can I fix it?

Have they failed like an old style "wire" fuse?

there might be a break in the elements - you can buy conductive paint to fill in the gaps

I've heard of them being soldered back together on some cars. Worth a try?

You can buy conductive paint for this sotto of repair, some of the breaks are visible, others you can find with your multimeter.l tried to repair two sections of mine with home made paint, l mixed carbon powder with epoxy resin, my multimeter showed it was conductive, but once it had gone off it wasn't. lol

Pfft. Don't bother fannying around trying to fix it - buy a new one. Only £180 + £50 post
