Post Gearbox Oil Seals
I'm just about to reinstall the gearbox. I took it off the car some 5 years ago. It was completely covered in oil/dirt /gunge. I think most of it originated from the engine depositing oil over it and subsequent dirt sticking to the oil. I have no idea if oil had been leaking from the gearbox.

Am I right in saying that the only oil seals are the two output shaft seals. Is it worth going to the expense of replacing these? Is it a common occurrence for them to fail/wear out? The box has done 82K miles.

Thanks in anticipation of replies
