Mike can't you relase the clutch cable a bit so the bearing won't touch?
And yes a lot of modern parts are of poor quality helas.

Fortunately the kit I have doesn't seem to be one afflicted with the OD problem.
Took me a while to test as I had to extract some sheared bolts from the flywheel 1st
All fits as Sam's pictures indicated, just needed the confidence to start tightening the bolts.
Hoping that tomorrow I can get the gearbox bolted on and test that I can disengage the clutch.

Looks like the trouble kit you have? Good luck. Have a close look at the friction plate (Sam's photo) 2 types available. Make sure that the inside rivets doesn't touch the flywheel?
Also you need to file the ears on the thrust bearing, they are the wrong diameter and won't fit in to the clutch fork.

I managed the thrust bearing and I think the friction plate rivets aren't interfering but I can't be 100% certain. Engine and gearbox now together and clutch seems to be behaving correctly turning by hand.
Got to get the engine going to test further.
