Post Arm bearings
How do you get the inner arm bearings off? Ecas website says you need a special tool but i don't have one. I am happy to destroy it if that's the only way, I'd rather get it off without though.

A solution...An OLD carving knife to move it a few mm.
Make puller from 10mm studding and some 4mm Ms plate.

Arm bearing tool.

Use a chisel in between the back of the bearing and the resting face. Be careful not hitting the face distorting it. If you do, use a file to ''repair'' it. Or remove the bearing and grind gently a slot in the inner race. Again very careful not hitting the housing. Don't cut through but nearly, then split the inner race with the chisel.

Hmm, ok I'll have a go thanks but I'm thinking it'll probably be a case of grind it off. They're bloody expensive aren't they?

Not the best way, but i hammer them off with a chisel, or hammer them out with a chisel, in case of the arms. At the axle i hammer the chisel through the dust seal. If the bearings are shot, you could split them but i would never do this with re-usable bearings, replacements aren't that cheap, and probably rubbish quality.

selection of old screwdrivers and chisels acting like a wedge behind the the race easy does it one side at a time getting started often messes up the seal

If the inner race is shagged
Gently grind the inner race in a way that you can introduce a chisel into it, to finally snap the last section which is not ground thru
i have done 1000,s
Just do not over grind and hit the seal area
Never bothered with a puller for this job
