Question for the tuners and possibly racers out there. I have some old Plug Ring type cylinder head temp gauges That I'd like to fit, just so I can see what's going on for interest more than anything else. As the plugs are inset a little the ring sensors won't fit unless I Dremel out a little space for the 'sticky out bit'. I trust it's safe enough to do this, and I won't cause a crack stress riser as a result... ![]() |

You can trim the plastic to give clearance for the Spark Plug. The plastic gives some strain-relief to the cable. Make sure the hole fits the plug as a loose fit. Mine got jammed on the threads of the plug and the cable got pulled out. The plastic doesn't do much anyway, as the TC is "crimped in".
