It's real magic, that works!

I have a tired old 602 that was rebuilt in 2004 and has had it's tits thrashed off everywhere it goes, it drips oil and blows smoke. In a bid to help it make an 8000ish km trip to the top of Australia I added some Lucas oil stabilizer, no more oil drips at all, no more blown smoke. Win.

I'm a total skeptic with this stuff. I was told by a mechanic it works by swelling the materials in seals, so valve stems etc are 'rejuvenated'.
We but a bottle in a mates K series horizontal BMW 4cylinder, 1986, blows lots of smoke on start up, not anymore :-)

Usually i use snake oil for this kind of problems, this can also be used to renew your tires, fix a cracked windscreen, cure rust problems, fix electrical problems, etc. And you can also drink it, in case you're out of beer.

Reading around t'internet gives some very mixed views on this - it sounds like it is really just a thickener which, whilst will stop leaks by increasing the viscosity of your engine oil, doesn't actually do a great deal else - as we move into winter, surely a low viscosity oil is what is called for to aid cold morning starts and quick lubrication of moving parts, rather than a sticky sludge that has to get warm first before flowing efficiently - wouldn't like to use this in a daily drive in cold climes.......

Mmm... could be good for the MoT - Gerty's original engine failed on 'smoke' & I've noticed the current one is blowing a bit on start up...

I use it for indigestion, flu, rheumatism, varicose veins, and all sorts of other human discomforts.
But also for not starting engines, flat tyres etc.
Great stuff !!! :D

This is the thing, this motor is pretty clapped out, Viking will remember the smoke coming out the back when I was overtaking cars on the Viking raid @ 100km/h in 3rd at 5,750rpm
And it was always wet underneath leaving it's marks all over the driveway. So I figured I have nothing to loose! Now no smoke and no leaks and thats after 8,000k's at WOT including getting over the mighty Bloomfield 4x4 track out of the Daintree, 1st gear @ 6000rpm for minutes at a time with an 80km/h run up in 3rd   Really revving the tits off it :?

It would be useless for a good motor naturally ;)
