Hi all,

In the continuing saga of trying to make my van go in a straight line, replacing the front shocks is up next - the Boge ones I bought a year or so back are so shit that I'm going to replace them already (think they were advertised as for an Acadiane purely because of the size of hole).

I got the shock off one side, but the metal bush decided to stay attached to the stud on the mounting plate, and is completely solid. I mean its like it was welded on. I've tried WD-40, heat, swearing and hitting it with a big thing, all to no avail.

Any other ideas, or alternatively does anyone have a set of acad front shock plates for sale?

some of them had a split bush if you can find the join hammer a thin screwdriver then larger wedge to open it up
if its on solid buff it with a grinder along its length till your through to the pin and split the bush off with a chisel

Hi folks, managed to get it off by sticking the mount in a vice and grinding away the bush until it was loose enough to get off with mole grips... then wept as I had to replace Boge with Record... :'(

Don't neglect to fit them the right way around.
