Post 2CV front wings
Hi
Anyone tried to fit a pair of Ecas front wings lately?
I was advised to fit them before getting them sprayed and that they might need a bit of filing.
I am trying to fit one now. Bit of a struggle to say the least.

There's somebody having the same issue on the 2cvGB forum. The general consensus is that the reproduction wings of Argentinean provenance are intended for the IES super America, not the 2cv, hence they don't really fit all that well.

I gather these ones come from Italy. They are 2cv wings ok but a bit of a struggle to get more than 3 out of 4 of the fixings to line up.
However, I've sort of got the right side on so I'll have a look at the other side in a day or two.
Cheers

Don't know about the recent replacement garbage but a long time ago they didn't fit at all and it was best to remove the rear top mount of the wing and weld it back on when everything is fitted on the car.

Yes, I've got a set on the bamboo and find the same thing... they're a pain in the neck.. and much heavier too.

Been busy so only just got back to this job. After battling for half a day, damaging the middle driveshaft gaiter on the driver's side, the passenger side went on in about 15 minutes (with the help of a felt headed hammer).
