That looks great, Chris! And the photo of the finished one you put up shows just how spot-on it should look when done.

I'm guessing (hoping) you are still making up a separate chassis frame and using trailer suspension (or similar) units and not trying to modify the 2CV chassis or suspension cans? I think you'd not only find it much, much easier starting from scratch, but it'll be a lot lighter too.

Indeed I've decided to go the way of trailer suspension units (350 Kg) after looking at it all it seemed the easier and best way to go! Chassis wise I am using the chassis below this was kindly given to be by Neil Pearson. Not sure what make it is etc Neil thought maybe Frome? For what I want it seems ideal. Fairly light and basically has a pre made triangle for the hitch

A couple more photos of this weekends progress not a great deal of visible progress taking time trying to make sure its right! James popped over as he said earlier to lend a hand and we got it all mocked up as photos show up on axle stands etc to try get heights and levels correct. More bits marked to be chopped off chassis as only roughly cut to make it easier to work with. Next I need to build the axle up and get the position for it correct then its time to tack weld all the chassis bits and have another look at it too see that it still looks right.
