hi guys - what range of torque wrench will cover most jobs on my 2cv?
your views are greatly appreciated

Usually you need at least two torque wrenches to cover the complete range for 2CV, avoid using them in the outer ranges, so you'll need a small overlap.
Not sure about the numbers but a look in your Haynes could give you the exact numbers.

Britool AVT300A 5-33NM 40-300ftlb for engine work BUT- DO NOT FOLLOW RECOMENDED TORQUE FOR CYL HEAD BANJO BOLTS they will strip at 10nm half it and see if it leaks then nip it till it doesnt - they are accesible trough the fan housing and the engine will run for 10 mins from cold, no fan, with no ill effects

1/2 in drive for some chassis stuff but usually my weight x distance on the long breaker bar for wheel bearings and the like

Inhave a 1/4 teng tool torque wrench and a 1/2 cheap screwfix one

Both dont see daylight often enough but seems to cover the complete range

Have a look on Ebay ... I bought a Britool half inch drive torque wrench on there for just over twenty quid.
