No expert but from personal experience then ...
somewhere dry and dust free if possible with fresh oil in the sump and maybe a little 3-1 put down the bores and the engine turned over a couple of rotations by hand to distribute it slightly.
If the ports are open then consider covering them with say plastic bags so nothing can ingress whilst stored.
Or you could do what i've done, nothing at all and then a careful bit of recomissioning when you come to use them
