Post HELP electrical problem
Hi,2cv working fine this morning,left at work all day,started ok this evening but the oil light didnt come on,checked the brake fluid light not working either,hazzards ok but no indicators,horn worked along with brake lights and head side lights,made it home,battery gone flat,fuses on bulkhead all look/tested ok,this sort of thing happened to anyone else,wount be able to look at it untill saturday now,any pointers :(

fuse look ok, but did you test the connectors between fuses and wires these are mostly rusty so sand them with a piece of sandpaper and the fuses too and try again......

That all seems logical, the items you list as not working are all on the same fuse as well as the feed to the voltage regulator, hence no charging. Assuming you have a late 80's car with 5 fuses, the one you need to look at is the third one down from the top. Not completely sure which it'll be on a 3 fuse car, but think it'll be the middle of the 3, and have blue sleeves on the terminals.
The + feed to it is on the left as you look at the box, (offside of car). Then follow LPGO's advice and clean the contacts, they're not the most reliable of things.

And get the battery recharged asap, they don't like being left flat.

@Joolz didn.t name the exact fuse on purpose, so he would take care of all of them otherwise he has the same problem again on a diffrent fuse next week :roll: :roll: :roll:

Made an early start,was indeed a bad fuse connection on no 3 fuse,all now cleaned and working fine,thanks all.
