Post 1-2-Spark Dynoday
The first 1-2-Spark dynoday is a fact.......

I didn't expect much of the tuningcompany when I went for information for planning a dynoday, they where tuning an almost new Bentley......
So I had a little laughter expected today when we showed up with our 2cv's....

What sketched my surprise today, the "tuner" was almost more enthusiastic about our snails and 1-2-Spark as ourselfs... ... Unfortunately the tuner thought that we just wanted to do a run, so we have chosenonly to tune the 2cv of djr82 (here of the forum)..

The dyno-bank was "locked" on several rpm ranges and 1-2-Spark was tuned on several map
boxes and rpms.

What most stands out is that the values by drj82 where way to high for a hard working engine on a dynobank so I had to retard the ignition by almost 5 degrees here and there

Along with the tuner (behind the wheel) and me behind the computer we tuned djr82 engine; a 650cc bigbore. ......

We have done a comparative run between 1-2-Spark and 123, the other ignition on
this snail.

I Always have said at full throttle there isn't much advantige when the öther"ignition is tuned well
so this is also the case here.. The biggest advantage is when you are cruising along
but 1-2-Spark manages to squeeze 1 hp more out of the engine then 123 does......
36 instead of 35hp.... so not bad at all I guess...

but again djr82 confirmes again you need much less throttle cruising along, so giving you more fuel economics..

The conclusion I have made today is that I have to integrate temperature sensor ) because the maximum advance between a cold and a warm engine may differ about 5 degrees ... .... This may even give you more power when the engine is not too hot ....

Below some images of today, we also have made some videos, which follow here soon.

1 hp is a 3% increase in power alone, not to mention increase in economy.
Nice work :-D
I'm nearly ready for mine now!
