Hi guys, at work and want to make some barb fittings for my swirl pot (in the hp side of my fuel system for BMW engine) can anyone tell me the ID of the fead from the tank and does it run a return? If so bore size if that too. Want to keep me busy during break! |

its an OD of 6mm - thats what the 5.5 ID rubber fits over without needing a clip no return as the set up of the mechanical pump allows it to idle when the needle valve on the carb shuts for what you're about to do id just start again with new gear. |

On my turbo car I run a return from the pressure regulator and that needed to be 8mm bore as using a standard 6mm for the return gave me tooo much pressure into the carb. If you are using fuel injection on your BMW then I would presume you will need to return to the tank. Also feed from tank to pump is 12mm... |

I will be returning high pressure from fuel injection to the swirl pot that always remains full, that will ha e an overflow/return back to standard fuel tank. So I need to add a fitting into the 2cv tank for the return, |

I added mine to the metal filler pipe - drilled hole up need the top and brazed a curved pipe into hole - curved because straight one, the force was so much the petrol was splashing against the inner wall of the filler and out towards the filler opening. |
