Comme on guys you must know better, It is driven by the speedo cable, just like a ' 59 2cv should be.. I just took the driveshafts out to test this..

Aha your are fooling us ;-)
Did you know the Opel Rekord had a similar drive system in the 50s. Their wipers were hooked up to the camshaft.

Most modern cars don't need a BMW R 1200 engine to power the windscreenwipers.
They have a very small electric motor . even my 2cv van has this standard without any extra cost. :P

Well Geert this is why I mentioned it here.. How many people can say that there windscreen wipers are powered by a 1200cc engine.....

p.s. I wonder when I drive 140 km/h I think the rubber will melt away then, or the wipers will fly away/take off..

Mine flew off at 60km/H... they landed on the bonnet, otherwise i would never have found them again in the dark and rainy forest... :mrgreen:
