Exhaust over the engine, making sort of heating system with it...
Just like I want to do...
It's easier afterwards to fit 2 turbo's (just for the record I'm already happy when the standard beamer will work)...

Neat setup, I like the cowling he has made up, and the addition of the balance pipe in the exhaust on that last pic 8-)
It's had to tell what all that plumbing is doing running to the back rh corner then looks like an inlet near the exhaust...?

Harley, I presume the idea is to get some cool air in the engine with creative sewer-plumbing pvc ...

Today I fitted the mockup adaptorplate to the engine. Made a device invented by Joolz

a M8 centerpoint so I could easily point out the holes in the wood.

I left the plate as big as possible........ cut off is easy cut by ??????

Next step is to join the gearbox.... this will take a week or two because some milling is needed....

looking good, I have started a cad drawing for my plate but need to measure the engine holes, Only just back from japan working so been a little delayed. I have the bmw gearbox in the boot of my car so can use that to measure hole centers.

I have some (QCAD.dxf) drawings for Plate and Flywheel adaptor for A MotoGuzzi conversion.
Useful for all the 2CV dimensions.
PM or email.
Cheers

Post Re: BMW 2cv engine conversion
So heres the plan how I do the line up between BMW engine and 2cv gearbox.....

I have a bar (25 mm Axle-steel) and at 1 end it is turned down in a lathe, so it is only 5.7mm widht.
Image

In the Beamers crankshaft theres also a hole of 5.7mm so the bar will exactly fit in the hole lining up the gearbox with the engine...

In the gearbox I have 2 25/52mm bearings and ive modified the hole of the ingoing shaft (took out the tube which sits in there) suprisingly it is 25mm now...

So in my brain this is going to be perfecty lined up when the axle goes through the whole gearbox into the crankshaft....

Need some bolts and nuts, so somewhere this week there will be a interracial wedding in my garage

Suggestions (why this won't work) are welcome...
