Post BMW 2cv engine conversion "2.0"
I'm thinking about a beamer conversion......

Just a thought, is it possible to make an adaptorplate like this...
Attachment:
bmw adaptorplate.jpg

Then I can use the Original 2cv mountings (maybee 4) 2 infront of adaptorplate 2 behind the adaptorplate. Then I have more space infront of the engine for oilcoolers fan lightbar etc.
Exhaust will go over the engine insted of underneath... just like Original 2cv6 exhaust..

Engine mounting will be similar to an Ami super... or GS(a)

Joolz how do you think about this......

I am planning to do my exhaust up and over and also have other ideas with regards the front engine mounts/supports.
I picking up a gearbox tomorrow and flywheel so will have plenty to keep me going.

With this you don't have a front mounting, leaving a lot of space to do oilcooler ect.

Post Re: BMW 2cv engine conversion
This idea did cross my mind before, after I had finished the original prototype adaptor, but then I've not really felt the need to go back and look at it again. I've always thought the frame on the front was a little clumsy, but it does give somewhere to make brackets for an oil cooler.

I've spent a lot of time trying to think of different ways to lay out the various important bits, and although I don't think my way is necessarily best, I couldn't think of anything I liked better enough to change it. I didn't like the idea of an over the top exhaust because of the sharp bend needed when it comes out of the head, and also because it will run closer to electrical things.

I'm always interested to see other peoples ideas though, it's about time someone gave me something to copy!

Sorry Harley, but my turbo car needs a new turbo, because my Original turbo was made out of 3 broken turbo's (had to shape the turbowheels), this will set me back 350 euro's...

So searching the internet I came across a r1200gs beamer also for 350 euro........

do i need to say more..... When it happens I will put a 1-2-Spark on it.... Promised; and maybee a turbo, when I'm used at the speed...... (will take 2 days I guess)...

@ Joolz will it be possible to make me such an adaptor, or can I adapt you adaptor :D :D
(from which material is it made).....

As your turbo car is channeled are you going to have that large bulge in the front of the bonnet - like the cars in Spa?

I already have a big bulge at my bonnet, (air intake of intercooler) so I'm already used to that....

@Joolz
Looking at your adaptorplate, I thinks its from alloy and therse space enough to do a back engine mount
