Post Starter Motor repair
So after loosing about 20litres of petrol thro a 'new' fuel pipe which has perished, the starter motor packed up !! Oh joy. Just to make matters worse, the petrol spilled over the gravel drive and spread along the underground rock strata which has been soaked up by the house walls (mud and stone), and now evaporating into the house!! - Just have to wait for it to go.

Duciler 6195A 12volt. There are two 'plastic bushes' that sit on either side of the actuator yolk/lever. When you pull the start lever, a collar is pushed forward, which engages the starter gear. These plastic bushes sit in the groove of the collar. I have made a couple out of DELRIN, but don't know how long they will last. Anyone know where to get these plastic bushes from ?

hi bobh just buy another starting motor

the fuel lines rot with this modern fuel, often at the connection to the tank(the rubber bit) or at the connection too the pump ( the rubber bit)

I thought I had been clever and fixed it, but now the 'Bendix' only engages with the starter ring about 3 in every 5 starts. Looked at the starter gear - only a little bit mashed about, so after making sure all the sliding bits slid OK, I re-ground the lead in on the starter gear - that made no difference, so I suppose I will have to bite the bullet ??
