 Fixings, bolts etc
Not strictly A-Series, but does anyone know where I can get unusual fixings? I had to grind off some extra-long bolts from the rear shockers of an old Escort van, and I can't find replacements anywhere! Even Ford can't help!

Checkout any local fixing suppliers if you know the thread size and spec you want they should be able to supply. Have you checked out any form for Ecsorts ?

 Re: Fixings, bolts etc
Not sure what size they are. I'll measure them next time I go to do some work on the van. They're unusually long (5-6 inches) but not threaded all the way along. The original nut is a weird square thing, which slotted into a kind of cup thing, but I knackered it (and the cup) when I had to grind it off to remove the shocker.

 Re: Fixings, bolts etc
minimum tensile strength for anything on a car is 8.8 shocker mounts are likley to be 10.9 threaded rod is often 4.chocolate or just "black iron" not really going to be suitable.
