Does anybody know how to maintain these windows half-open when using the adequate holder? My holders (a new one and an old one) both don't do what they were supposed to do when I drive a bit faster or when the road is irregular. Indeed they frequently come off the metal window frames and let the windows swing, instead of keeping them still. Thanks for your tips. |

There's a guy called Barry who sells a little rubber disc which clips over the door and holds the window open however far you like, but I can't remember any more details about him or where to get them! Anybody? |

Brilliant things! Barry Willis is the bloke, sometimes lists them on ebay. Think this is either his or his wife's email address: e.willis3@sky.com |

My solution was to make two simple brackets from some ali 15mm x 2mm flat strip cut to about 10cm long, with 5mm right angle bends at each end to form a [ shape one end is tapered to fit the window catch hole. The other end is held in place by the widow catch. No more flaping window. This was discussed at the last "RADARS" meeting [Rotherham and District Association of Roaming Snails] ......one of our members suggested using suckers on the wire clips [suckers of the type which fit on kitchen walls etc to hang yer towels etc on] .....seems the idea is to put the sucker onto the wire clip and then the window does'nt flap about ......[neither will it break the weld which holds the window shut on the OE clip]. It sounds a good idea to me ......I mean to take a look in my local "Pound Shop" or "Wilkos" next time I'm in town. btw .......I've got a set of "Barry's Clips" ......they're superb [wot an idea ... ![]() ![]() T. ![]() |
