Single system brake master cylinder (Drummer).
This job is starting to get on my wick now. If I'm not too busy with real life its raining, and if its not raining things are seized!
First question:
The reservoir, does it unscrew by hand or do I need a spanner that is bigger than all the ones I seem to have?
Please help, lots of love Louise.

Glass, metal or plastic reservoir. Regardless, spanner is needed. Maybe a photo?

Re: Single system brake master cylinder (Drummer).
If it is the tall light yellow plastic reservoir, you need a skinny 21 mm. Standard 21 mm open ended spanners are too thick to slide in underneath. They come off very easy, when you have the right spanner.

Yes, not forgetting that copper sealing washer, of course... ken louise2cv wrote: Just done it yay! Thanks for the advice, super quick!

The pedal seems rock solid now... might have to test it in a sec, if I can get the damn thing started!
