Post subject:  Alternator voltage regulator.

Its the weekend, and I am trying to confirm summt.

Bought an alternator regulator from UK supplier type HUCO 130493. I am assuming that normally wires to the regulator arrive by a molded socket. I don't have the socket, so will use spade connectors.
Question, the diagram on top of the regulator shows:-

D-

D+ DF

Do I assume this is looking from the bottom (Ie at the terminals) or from above ? Cos it makes a lot of difference !!

Normally it's the view from the bottom as you see the connectors.

Rang ECAS on the off chance they were open Sat afternoon, and I was in luck. Advice, the diagram on the top of the unit is what is seen on the botom as you look at the contacts. Also DO NOT IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE short DF to earth. That will certainly frazzel the regulator.
