Rick Pembro has taken my Dyane drum box off for an overhaul. It'll be fitted in my drummer 2CV. I want the bigger drums, but am wondering whether to have the innards built to 2CV or Dyane spec.
The car mainly gets used to go to meetings fully laden, and will be tooling around the Pyrennes this summer.

What would you do... I've got my options wide open as Rick can rebuild the box how I want it.

Cheers, Rumble

Keep it on Dyane gearing; lower first, higher top and probably better build quality for the parts than a later 2CV gear set.
If you're worried about load lugging, we managed fine with a Dyane, 2 adults plus 2 kids and well freighted trailer, including the climb to the Swiss World Meeting in '91. ;)

p.s. How far has Rick's schedule slipped?
He was supposed to be here at 4.30 with a couple of gearboxes for me to fit input shaft seals and since I started work at 7 o'clock this morning...
