Post Waxoyl inside toe board void
Hetty has a replacement toe board, I was thinking of cutting two small holes about 6" in from the sill to enable me to get wax into the void where they typically go.

Am I ok to do that? It won't weaken the structure?

It may catch fire when being welded back up?

Go for it Sam. Bore holes everywhere and use a spray nossle which spray in all directions. Sounds sexual. Just plug the holes afterward with plastic plugs removeable for next time

The waxoyl 'kit' I have contains a long tube with a 360° sprayer on the end of it - would just need a single small hole in the middle as would reach all the way across.
When you've done yours, do mine please, I can't be arsed.

If you've got one, use a compressor and schutz gun, rather than a hand-pump squirty. And don't confuse "waxoyl" the proprietary with the concept - there's much better out there.
http://rust.co.uk/ have a wide range of rustproofing wax.

Indeed. It's not that good actually, it does rubbish in tests. Even Dinitrol makes it pale into insignificance, let alone the really good stuff.
