 Engine turns - but no compression I have a spare engine that turns over ridiculously easily with absolutely no compression whatsoever. Does this mean that the valves are stuck open? Or does it indicate something else?

also remove the tappitt covers to see if the valves are operating correctly

It's at the back of a tractor shed with limited access and I'm struggling to raise enthusiasm to move things and get my hands dirty. Suspect I might be suffering from Post-Christmas Lethargy Syndrome, or something equally debilitating.
