Post Rotating Visa heads...
I may have eaten to much of mums gluten free brandy pudding, but....
Would there be any adverse effects from swapping over (left to right) the cylinder heads on a Visa motor?
Apart from requiring a new inlet/exhaust manifold and new tinware for the shrouds...
This would place the inlet ports at the front of the motor and the exhaust ports at the back.

Has it been done?

No worries, Harley's also going to run the engine anti-clockwise.

Or that was the plan, until the brandy wore off and the cost of that billet camshaft registered...

Ahh yes, of course, the bloody camshaft would need a tweak... I still blame the pudding... Thx Pete & Ken for keeping me in line.
Merry Xmas!

So, hypothetically of course, if the heads where reversed and the motor was cranked anticlockwise it would run? With a modified ignition or mirrored points box. I wonder if the oil pump would then blow instead of suck (thats an invitation for you Viking ;)) from memory it is symmetrical so it should still work...

Even if it is symmetrical, it would try to suck in oil from the bearings and heads, through the oil filter and spit it out to the bottom of the crankcase ;)
Also valve timing off, valve opening overlap in the wrong sequence etc.

Hand made camshaft then....... there are some companies making 2cv camshafts from scratch.... then you can leave the rest as is. But what would be the advantige doing this....

Can't you hacksaw the ends off the cam and turn the middle bit with the lobes around?
